The Weather Station at G3OJZ has been running for the last 6 years and uses a WM-918 unit with some slight modifications to the rain collection bucket to improve accuracy.
The rain bucket is mounted on the garage roof and the temperature sensor is on the North side of the house in a position that never gets sunshine. The wind speed and direction arm is mounted on a mast above the roof.
The WX software is linked to UI-View which automatically sends the updated information in the form of an APRS beacon on 144.800 MHZ every 14 mins. When this beacon is received by Matt M1CMN it is decoded in UI-View and with the help of additional UI-View add on software sent to his server.
