APRS in use
APRS van example

Here is an example of one of the mobile stations Matt M1CMN-7 runs. In this case, this is a example of in his van where he has utilised the cup holders to hold the head of the radio in place using a piece of wood to mount the head. Matt uses the Garmin GPS3+ along with the Kenwood TM-D700. He can use APRS alongside voice communications on both VHF and UHF.
Temporary car installation example

This is an example of a temporary APRS car installation. The Kenwood TM-D700 and GPS are mounted on a breadboard on the front seat and the rig display slides onto a mount on the dash. This has been done so that the equipment can be removed from the vehicle in a few seconds when necessary. The GPS aerial can be seen inside the windscreen below the tax disc holder.
