Past Outdoor Events

Here is a very small selection of events that we have provided public address systems at:

Horse Shows

Kent PA Hire are very busy between April - September with Horse Shows across the county. We can provide a full public address system, commentary box fitted with all of the equipment, including its own power supply. Seating and worktop space is available. We also provide radio communications for each jump, and for the other marshalls and organisers.

Pilgrims Hospice Fundraising Events during 2010

Each Year Kent PA Hire support the Pilgrims hospice with the special fundraising events that they run. We cover events in Ashford, Canterbury Deal, and Thanet.

Hythe's Venetian Fete August 2009

Kent PA Hire provided a full public address system for this large event. As well as providing the public address system, we also provided site communications for the organisers, security and the management team. This event attracts around 19,000 people. We provided sound coverage around the entire area, as well as Microphones for the band, commentary tower, and centre stage. Events of this size take a great deal of planning. Fun for all the Family in Whistable 14th June 2009

For the 3rd Year Kent PA Hire provided the sound system for the Whitstable Races. Fun for all the family,
with many races took place during the afternoon.

Supporting the Pilgrims Hospice Midnight Walk 13th June 2009


Kent PA Hire provided an outdoor Public Address system for the Midnight walk in Ashford.
The system was used for the "warm up" session prior to the ladys doing the walk.

Vintage Weekend May 2nd/3rd/4th 2009

Kent PA Hire provided a full Public Address and communications system at this event

 

Sporting Event in Thanet 7th / 8th March 2009

Kent PA Hire provided a large PA system for a sporting event in Thanet. we provided a commentary unit, good sound coverage over a wide area, and radio communications for the event organisers. Thousands of people attended over the weekend.

Remembrance Sunday 9th November 2008

Kent PA Hire provided sound systems for Remembrance Sunday services across Kent. We provide simple and effective systems so the service can be heard clearly. All of our systems were powered on batterys.

Firework Displays Across Kent 1st / 2nd November 2008

Kent PA Hire have been very busy providing sound systems across Kent for Fireworks weekend 1st / 2nd November.
We have been providing systems for general safety announcements, and systems that are capable of providing quality music over a large outside area. We also provided 2 way radio communications for all of the marshalls and event organisers.
We are already booked for many displays in 2009. Please contact us in the early stages of your planning if you require sound and communications.

Community event - Nr Maidenhead, Berkshire 14th September 2008

Kent PA Hire travelled to Berkshire to provide sound and communications for a community event on the 14th September.
We provided a commentary box for the main control, and also provided a 2 channel communications network for the event.

 

30 years of the North Downs Way - Wye Nr Ashford 13th September 2008

A special celebration day held in Wye nr Ashford. We provided a suitable PA system for this event, to give good outdoor sound coverage.
we also provided radio communications for the organisers.

Anniversary of Connaught Park, Dover, Sunday 20th July 2008

A special anniversary was celebrated in style with fun activities for the whole family in Connaught Park Dover, to commemorate the amazing 125th anniversary of these popular local gardens. Kent PA Hire provided an announcement PA system, which was used to promote events during the day, and upcoming events in Dover over the coming weeks. Speakers were installed across the park providing good sound coverage.

School Fete Near Canterbury 5th July 2008

A simple effective system was installed for this event. The system was used for background music and general announcements.

School Fetes and Sports days Summer 2008

During the months of June and July Kent PA Hire are providing PA systems for many school fetes and sports days in the area.

We recently provided a PA system for a School / Village Fete nr Sevenoaks. The system included full coverage of the arena area, and school field. We provided fixed microphones, Radio microhpones, and CD Players. We worked with the organisers to ensure the arena events ran smoothly.

Pilgrims Hospice Midnight Walk in Deal 7th June 2008

Kent PA Hire supported the Pilgrims Hospice by providing a public address system for this event. We provided a quality outside PA system for announcements and music.

Wedding, Otham Nr Maidstone May 25th 2008

We provided a full PA system for the service, and speeches. which included microphones, and CD Player. Inputs were also available for the clients guitar, and also an IPOD for background music during the meal.

Vintage Weekend Nr Canterbury May 3rd/4th/5th 2008

Kent PA Hire provided a full PA and communications system:

Sporting event at Farthinglowe sports ground in Dover March 2008

We provided a Public address system for this event, as well as a wireless microphone. good sound coverage was obtained on the field.

Santa Fun run in Folkestone town centre 2nd December 2007

Kent PA Hire worked with The Rotary Club of the Channel (Folkestone to provide a PA system for the annual santa fun run. The run started in the town centre, and finished on the Leas in Folkestone. They managed to raise at least £10,000 for local charities.

Sandwich Christmas Lights Switch On 23rd November 2007

We provided sound for the "Sandwich Christmas Light switch on" event which was held on the 23rd November. KMFM's Johnny Lewis and the Mayor of Sandwich turned on the lights at 6:30pm. We provided the sound system for announcements and some christmas music.

Bethersden Firework display 4th November 2007

For the second year Kent PA Hire provided "music to the fireworks" at Bethersden. We worked with the fireworks company to ensure everything ran smoothly.

Firework Display Nr Canterbury 3rd November 2007

As usual at this time of year Kent PA Hire are busy providing sound systems for firework displays. At this particular event we provided a sound system for announcements and music to the fireworks. We have worked with many firework companys in the past who provide the music, others simply leave it to us to arrange. For this firework display we used a dance theme, other events prefer classical, some prefer classics like war of the worlds. Whatever your requirements, we can help. Folkestone Rotary half Marathon 30th September 2007

We supported the Folkestone half Marathon this year, providing a full public address system. Sound systems were provided at both the start and finish lines. background music was available, as well as fixed/radio microphones. We used our own power supply for the event.

Sandgate Sea Festival 27th August 2007

The Sandgate Sea Festival took place on August bank holiday Monday. We provided an announcement PA system along the seafront. Many events took place during the day including the popular raft race. The announcer used a wireless microphone throughout the event. We provided our own power supply

Herne Bay Festival 26th August 2007

A Family event took place in Herne Bay on the 26th of August, part of the Herne Bay festival. Kent PA Hire provided an announcement PA system for the day. This was a large PA system to cover Herne Bays Memorial Park. The event was planned well in advance with Canterbury City Council.

Hythe Venetian Fete August 15th 2007

Kent PA Hire provided a full public address system for this large event. As well as providing the public address system, we also provided on site communications for the organisers, with links to security and first aid points. This event attracts around 19,000 people. Events like this take a great deal of planning to ensure everything runs smoothly. If you are running a large event please contact us very early in your planning stages.

Dover Castle 31st July 2007

We provided a full public address system for an event at Dover Castle. The equipment was used outside, with around 600 people attending the event. We provided a Microphone, Lectern, and also provided our own power supply.

Airshow in Medway 7th July 2007

We provided a full public address system for an airshow in Medway. We installed speakers over the distance of around 400m. The commentator used a fixed Microphone on a platform for good clear vision of the display. We also provided a remote wireless link to another set of speakers which would not have been practical to wire up. Music was provided for the event, and engineers remained on site to ensure everything ran smoothly. We provided our own power supply.

Whitstable Races 24th June 2007

Kent PA Hire provided a full outdoor PA system for this event. Pat Marsh from BBC Radio Kent was the master of ceremonies. We provided a wired microphone, full sound system, and music.

Celebrations at Saltwood Castle Near Hythe, 16th/17th June 2007

As part of the Saltwood Church 800 years celebrations, we provided a sound system for announcements, and a sound system for a jazz band at Saltwood Castle. We provided Minidisc players, CD Players, fixed microphones and wireless microphones for this event.

Swinging Picnic in the Park at Southon's Field, Marden, Saturday 9th June 2007

For the 5th Year Running Kent PA Hire provided a sound system for the Singathon in Marden, as they raise money for the local church.

The event included races for the children, stalls, tombola, and a BBQ for burgers and sausages. John Warnett from BBC Radio Kent's Breakfast Show was the master of ceremonies.

We provided 6 microphones on stands for the singers with two monitor speakers for the stage. Behind the scenes two CD players a Minidisc player/recorder was used. We also provided some stage lighting.

Horse show in Medway 3rd June 2007

We provided sound and communications for this event. A public address system was provided for general announcements during the day, and two-way radios were provided for the marshals, secretaries tent, public address announcer, and first aid point.

Scouts Camp Nr Folkestone 26th - 28th May 2007

Kent PA hire provided an announcement PA system to cover the fields at a scout camp. The system was setup on the Friday evening ready for the weekend. A central point was available for announcements, and a radio microphone was also provided.

Horse Show in West Kent 20th May 2007

Kent PA hire worked with the event organisers well in advance so we could ensure we provided the right service for this horse show. We provided a full public address system for this event, including background music during the intervals.
We also provided a control point, with a radio base station, and 20 two way radios which were used by marshalls spread over the course.

Opening of The Salutation in Sandwich 7th May 2007

The Salutation in Sandwich opened its stunning gardens to the public. Kent PA Hire provided a PA system for gardening writer and TV presenter Monty Don. The system was used for speeches inside a Marquee.

Vintage Weekend Nr Canterbury 5th/6th/7th May 2007

Kent PA Hire provided a public address system for a vintage weekend. We provided a sound system to cover the main Arena and surrounding areas. We also provided radio communications for the organisers and security staff during the event.

Sporting event at Farthinglowe sports ground in Dover 12th March 2007

Kent PA Hire provided a full PA system for this event, giving good sound coverage over the field. A radio microphone was used throughout the event, as well as a fixed wired microphone for the presentations.

Unison demonstration in Folkestone 3rd March 2007

Part of the nationwide day of action in support of the NHS. Marchers assembled in Folkestone town centre, and then to Radnor Park for speeches. Kent PA Hire provided the sound equipment for the speeches.

Santa Fun Run in Folkestone - 10th December 2006

The fun run took place in Folkestone town centre on 10th December. We provided a full public address system for this event, using a battery power supply, and wireless microphone for the organiser.

Remembrance Sunday 12th November 2006

We provided a small PA system for Remembrance Sunday. A simple system with 2 microphones

Wingham Firework display 11th November 2006

We provided a full public address system for this fireworks display, for public announcements and music with the fireworks display. This is the third year we have covered this event, each time it gets bigger.

Bethersden Firework display 5th November 2006

We provided "Music to the fireworks" for this event. Working with the fireworks company to ensure everything went to plan. We provided background music, along with some two-way radios.

Hastings Crazy Gold Championships 28th/29th October 2006

Kent PA Hire provided a public address system for this years World Crazy Golf Championships.

The event took place at the Hastings Adventure Golf on Marine Parade, Hastings.
We provided horn speakers for this event, and a Radio microphone.

We worked with the committee earlyer in the year so we could ensure we provided the correct service.

Elham Valley Horse Show 24th September 2006

Kent PA hire provided a full PA system and communications for the Elham Horse Show.

We installed a full public address system around the site for general announcements through the day. We also supplied a smaller system for the judge to use in a small area. Radio Communications were also supplied for the event organisers and car park marshalls.

Sandgate Sea Festival 28th August 2006

We provided sound coverage for the whole area mainly for announcements of upcoming events throughout the day by the organiser. Waterproof speakers were used, (a good job too, look at the awful weather!)

Herne Bay Festival 27th August 2006

Kent PA Hire provided a full site PA system for the Herne Bay Festival. Speakers were setup across the site to provide good sound coverage. a control point was setup, and background music was provided when needed. Pat Marsh from BBC Radio Kent was in charge of the announcements.

Supporting Kent Air Ambulance 27th August 2006

We support the Kent Air Ambulance - Kent PA Hire provided a public address system for a fundraising day at The Crown Pub near Deal to raise money for the Kent Air Ambulance.
Johnny Lewis from KMFM Afternoon's was in charge of the commentating, and lots of money was raised.

Reunion at Canterbury Barracks - 6th August 2006

Kent PA hire provided a full public address system to cover this event. we used many speakers to cover the area so that it could be heard loudly and clearly at any point of the field.

Radio microphones were used throughout the event, and appropiate music played during the breaks.

Private Party Near Wittersham, 5th August 2006

We provided a "Mini Cinema" system for this event. The system consisted of a Projector, Screen, Sound system and DVD Player. The mini Cinema was part of a party on a very large site, where many other activities took place. The customer provided us with DVDs to be played throughout the evening.

We provided a public address system for announcements and background music throughout the afternoon.

Race for Life KMFM Outside Broadcast 9th July 2006

We Provided KMFM (Shepway / White Cliffs Country) with a Radio Mic and accessories so they could report live from the Leas at Folkestone.

Graduation Ceremony, Canterbury Arts College, 8th July 2006

We provided the college with a simple public address system for the ceremony. 1 microphone was used on a stand, with speakers carefully positioned to give loud and clear sound.

Customer comment: Everyone had a really good time on Saturday and the prizegiving went really well. The sound quality was exceptionally good and the Head of College could be heard loud and clear by everyone there

Kent PA hire Supports the Dover Carnival 1st July 2006

We provided a mobile public address system for the Dover Carnival, four "horn" speakers on the roof, ready to give out announcements along the carnival route. A basic, powerful and effective public address announcement system.

Whitfield Grand Fete 1st July 2006

We provided a public address system to cover the field for this summer fete, several poles were put up and around 10 horn speakers covered the area well. The amplifier, and CD player for background music were installed out of the way in the club house. A radio microphone was used by the organiser to announce the events and for public announcements.
We also provided the committee with 10 two-way radios to allow them to pass information about parking, and safety. It was also used to keep in touch with the First Aid point.

Customer comment: We couldnt have done it without your help. The radio microphone was most useful, it could be heard well everywhere, and the radios were excellent. many thanks.
